This kit is designed to fully integrate with the RNS-510 touchscreen navigation, and allow full use through the navigation screen, such as phone book browsing and dialing as well as viewing the details in the cluster MFD display. Applicable for the ’09-’11 Jetta, Golf, Passat B6, CC, Eos or Touareg II (08-10).

Module available is 1Z0-035-729 D or E (WHITE cluster).

Custom programming via VCDS/vag-com is required in order to integrate with full functionality.

We now carry the updated RNS-315 (1K0 035 274 B) with built in bluetooth.  Bluetooth requires an additional microphone (+$45).

The RNS-315 is the second factory navigation system offered as an option in VW vehicles today.  Like it’s big brother, the RNS-510 Navigation System, the RNS-315 touchscreen is designed to allow seamless integration into your Volkswagen’s dash with a simple easy to use touchscreen  interface.  This speedy unit allows for very quick response time in command processing so you are on your way in no-time!

This third generation of RNS-510 for the US Market is here.

The latest version RNS-510 navigation unit features updates that the N. American market has been waiting for including a new graphic user interface (GUI), super-fast processor, crisp LED monitor, and a re-designed firmware to improve speed and performance which allows for advanced features such as support for 2 TB SDXC cards, HD Radio with text support, voice control features with optional wiring harness, and more.  This unit also has a larger 40 GB HDD to help support the larger size of the Navteq’s new map (4M version).

Firmware is 2625 or later and hardware is 8 or later.  Units manufactured in September 2011 or later.

There is no functionality difference between versions E or F.

Fits the following VW vehicles: MK5, MK6, B6, CC, Tiguan or Eos.  Will NOT fit Touareg, Routan or pre-2012 Beetle.  VCDS/vag-com coding is required to integrate full functionality.

Note: When fitting this unit to 05.5-08 model year VWs, some have experienced a battery drain issue. This can be remedied by updating the can-bus module.  If you have concerns about this issue, please research which version of can-bus module you may need and for more details on the problem and the solution.

New 9W7 Bluetooth modules require two audio channels wired from the Bluetooth module to the head-unit in order to enable Bluetooth music streaming (A2DP). This harness adds the second audio channel in case your car came with just one channel pre-wired (e.g. 9W3).

Also works with 9W3 or 9W2 Bluetooth modules.

Connection: Radio side green 12-pin plug: White – pin 5, Green – pin 11. BT side: White – pin 5, Green – pin 4.

New E/F version RNS-510 navigation units have a full Voice Command enabled.  However, it requires that the microphone is connected directly to the RNS unit and from RNS unit to the BT module instead of directly to the BT module.

This harness allows to re-route the microphone from BT module to RNS unit and back to BT if the car is already equipped with the factory BT wiring harness.

Note: 9W3, 9W7 or 9WZ Bluetooth is required in order for Voice Command to function.
