Yes, if you have a white color MFD, the 9W7 bluetooth should work. Skoda, I'm not sure of.

For US versions, it is possible to update A, B or C units to become D units from a firmware perspective. The LED monitor will obviously be the difference between A-C and other newer units.

Hi,
Coding is basically changing the programming that the RNS-510 looks for when communicating along the can-bus network within your vehicles computer system. It's what tells your vehicle to "look" for this type of device. It's not like a computer that can automatically recognize the components. It needs to be told such.
There's a device called a vag-com made by Ross Tech that allows you to modify this programming. If you don't have one or are not comfortable, I recommend you find a shop that is familiar or go to the dealer. Good luck with the latter, though. You may want to call ahead to make sure they have people capable and willing to work on a retrofit install. Many dealers won't.

Does anyone know if this permits Pandora/Spotify control as reported here:

Also, does it allow navigation to an artist by letter (displaying an onscreen keyboard) instead of the long scroll list? I have hundreds of artists and it takes a long time to find/get to what I want to play.

Thanks!

Hi, I would like to get a OEM RNS-510 for my 2011 GTI, but I've been always confused about how to install it and what is the coding thing about? If anyone could answer my question, i'd be more than appreciated!!
